What not to do to get rich quick…

Remember last year when Xbox 360 was released and because of production trouble they had short supply?

Mental Thiago: Why of course I do. Why do you ask?

Remember when people sold those Xbox’s on Ebay for ridiculous amounts of money and you wished you could do that, so you slept outside to get a PS this year.

Mental Thiago: Why of course I do. That was such a good idea.

Things change. After lack luster reviews shortly after the launch date and a secret Christmas shipment, PS3’s are selling on ebay for slightly more than they can be bought at stores for. Due to the great Canadian Tax system and our super strong dollar, profits (if you can call pennies on that dollar that) are quickly evaporating. What happened was this: Everyone who actually wanted a PS3 didn’t want to wait in the line of Ebay artists to get one. Supply unexpected increased, and demand went down due to lack luster reviews. The would be arbitragists guaranteed a sale for Sony and became the new free inventory.

Moral of the story: Trying to get rich off one time events is not the way to go.

At least we met this weird Belleville girl, and we have a story to tell.
